When Ruth marries Robert Dowland, she has no idea the impact Robert’s first wife, Madeline, has on everyone’s life. Ruth must prove her worth to long time housekeeper, Mrs. Billy, and overcome all the vivid memories of Madeline, as well as make friends with those who talk about Madeline as if she were still alive. By accident, Ruth finds Madeline’s journal and she and Mrs. Billy uncover the truth about Madeline’s death. Together, they set off a chain of events to set things right.
