The Girl with the Dragon Wing Eyes by Jack Bates
Harry Landers takes on a case for two distraught parents who hope their missing daughter is just stretching her wings and will want to return to the nest before much more time passes. The trail leads him to a medieval festival populated by everyday people who pretend to be part of a fantasy world. The deeper Harry goes into this make-believe realm, the more he discovers how dark and dangerous it can become for a young woman like Jessica Elliot. Harry finds himself traveling further than he’s ever had to go to solve a case.
